I am scared.  I don't know why but something doesn't sit right with Gaivan's injury.  I don't think it was an accident.  Starlight warned me of danger, and I don't think the danger has passed...  It worries me...

Homework:

Transfiguration:  Read Chapters on Laws Governing The Study of Transfiguration (This class is going to be fun)

Magical Defense:  Paper on Vampires due in 2 weeks

Pyrokinesis: Safety and Control of your Inner Fire Chapters

Herbology: Read beginning chapters of Caring for Your Herbs and Check Herb Garden every day

Mythology: Four page paper on the Titians (I remember them from the books at the library in NYC)

Elements: Read sections on History and Powers of Water (This class is going to be AWESOME I can learn to use all the Elements!)

Divination: I want to start with this class freaks me out every since I saw that vision in the crystal ball back In Marcus Valley.  Read History and Traditional Layouts for Tarot

Necromancy: Read the Laws Governing Communications with the Spirits

Archeology:  Ready Safety in the Field and Egypt: Beer, Bread, and the Pyramid Builders A Thesis by Christina Campbell

Astronomy:  No homework but go over the symbols learned in class today

I am so sleepy!  Classes are going to be a challenge but I am happy.  I have a friend, Gaivan is in most of my classes and we sit in the back together.  I am glad that he seems to my friend.  He was just here, I was working on our History homework.  It must be different for him, he doesn't seem to care if he has to rush everything, or that we have to work so hard.  But, of course he was born into this world.  I have a lot of catching up to do, though he told me not to worry.  We have really mythical (well they are not so mythical now) beings teaching classes.  Werewolves and Vampires, and Giants, and this new being I learned about Ondine.  I can't believe how much I have to learn but I hope I am able to learn quickly so I can be the best I can be.  I ordered a watch, but with Gaivan I might   I am going to write my homework assignments in here, because I want to try to write here every night and this will give me a reason too. 

History: Term Project (must define terms, and outline sections) Chapters 1-5

Spells:  Read the Safety Sections of Book and Practice Attollo spell (I am pretty good at it)

Potions: Read the Safety Sections and review notes on Safety (I can't wait to make my first potion, I am going to read ahead)

Creatures:  Go over notes on Alats... They were cute but a handful (Oh and the Professor is a WEREWOLF!)

Magical Transportation: Nothing, I can't wait to fly on a broom!

Thaumaturgy:   More Safety Reading

Telepathy : Practice, it is really boring I hope we get into more interesting stuff soon

Languages:  Read Chapters on Russian  (I love Languages I hope that I can learn them all!)

Healing: Read Basic First Aid Section (Seemed a bit boring but I know it is needed)

Martial Arts:  Practice (Oh this is going to be hard, I am so sore and I just started)

Now time for bed, morning comes early.

Hello!
        I am here.  I can't believe it, I am really at school!  I met a boy named Gaivan.  He is very cool. We almost have the same classes, where I have Mythology he has Symbology and where I have Martial Arts he has Arts. I think he will be a good friend.  The girls don't seem to like me.  Gaivan said it is just because they are stuck up.  Gaivan has a pet monkey, well it is is some type of mini-monkey (I forgot what he called it) it's name is Monkey though.  It is so cute, but Starlight is so much cuter.  Headmaster O'Cuinn looks familiar... but how could he be... but he seemed to look me in the eyes before starting is announcements.  It is like he sought me out.  Why??? Well it has been a long day.  I will try to write tomorrow.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
     I can't believe I can finally say that and mean it again!!!  I haven't had a moment of happiness since my mother died.  I have noticed I avoid that subject.  Even to my self.  I have nightmares of that day.  I know something happened, and now that I know of our true world... was she killed?  I learned today that that each element has a color, a primary color (they have lots of minor colors), and that is shown in the magic that the witch or warlock preforms.  Example since I am Fire, mine would be red!  Sandra's would be blue because she is Spirit.  A Water would have a light purple color and Airs (I am not sure how I feel about Airs yet... my dad was one...) would be Yellow.  There was that huge flash of green light... that is Earth... mom was Earth...  Enough sadness.  I have a new life.  A happy life.  I can't believe I will be going to school tomorrow!  It is so exciting!!!!  I can't wait for tomorrow.  But for now it is time for sleep.  We have been running around all day preparing for tomorrow...  We had to hunt for all my books, as I took them out of my bag and decided to try and read them all!!!!  But almost everything is packed now!  Goodnight!

Hello!

        Everything was so busy today!  I can't believe in 2 days I will be going to school!  Sandra says once I am in school I probably won't write in you every night, about my life, so I should do it now!  She told me once I am in school, my book will start to over run with notes, and spells and everything!  She said I should try to date my entries when I can but she said sometimes it happens that you will forget the date.  She said the reason to date them is to see how far you go in your life.  From your first notes to your lasts.

Today I took some time to learn about my gem:  The Topaz.  Mine is blue.  It is very light, and blue is actually one of the rarest colors. 

There is a story on how the topaz was made, it has to do with fairies.  My blue topaz is said to be made of the tears of fairies, they mourn the death of a great warrior.  His name has been lost to the ages but he fought for life on this plant at one time.  I think it is kinda cool, to think that tears from a fairy made my gem.  It makes me wonder about this warrior though.  Maybe I will learn something in history or mythology!

There are many qualities to the topaz, to the blue topaz.  There is a lot of healing, and protection and love associated with the stone.  By wearing a topaz you can attract love, it also heals emotional damages, and is said to protect you from other dark elements.  Sandra says I will learn a lot about stones and gems in healing.  I can't wait.  There is so much to learn!  I can't wait!  Just 2 more days!!!

Hello!  

        I am going to keep it short today, I am so sleepy!  Sandra is the nicest person ever I think.  She took me shopping all day!  I got pajamas, and nightgowns and every day clothes!  I tried to buy them myself, but Sandra said no.  She did let me pay for doll though, I never got to buy one before, and this one is made from porcelain, and magically they use some of my hair.  Sandra told me they use to do this all the time back when she was a little girl.  I dressed my doll in a pretty white dress, with a red ribbon.  I am not going to take it to school with me, but leave it at the MacCathmhaoil's.  Professor MacCathmhaoil came home today and said that I could stay with them.  Since he is going to be my teacher I am not comfortable using his first name yet, but he keeps telling me to do so.  I also got a tea set, Sandra gave it to me, she said it has been passed down in her family for generations, but she didn't have any girls, so she was so happy to be able to give it to me.  I thought it was the best thing ever!  I am reading my school books and there is so much to learn!  I was reading some about spells today, most can be simple words, others more detailed!  Sandra taught me a simple protection spell today.  

You draw a pentagram, and while doing so you state the following: Powers that be, grant your protection upon this item, so mote it be. 

It is very very simple.  When you finish your pentagram you seal it with your own personal finishing touch around it.  Sandra did these custom little lightning bolts.  I was so scared about what to draw, but Sandra said to close my eyes and the image would come to me, and I ended up drawing a little flower, Sandra showed it to me today at the hospital she had to stop in and do something with it.  It was a thistle, Sandra said it was a good flower, though most humans thought of it as a weed.  I looked up some information about it after I drew it.  

Thistles are Fire flowers, they are good for strength, protection, and energy.  I am thinking about keeping some at hand.  Sandra says that is a good idea, because young witch and warlocks have to grow up quickly and don't get a lot of time for child's play except on vacations.  Antonio and Professor MacCathmhaoil told me they use it in potions to break curses, but I will learn more about that use in a higher potions class.  

Speaking of potions, I love sneaking up on Professor MacCathmhaoil and Antonio when they are talking potions.  I find them very interesting.  I can't wait to get to class!  I have read the first four chapters of my potions book and there are so many potions I want to try!  I will wait to write them down until I get a chance to study them more in class.

I am sleepy, so time for bed.  Sandra says there will be more time to write later.  These have truly been some of the best days of my life.  I can't stop smiling!

Hello,
      I have never written in a journal before, but Antonio says that everybody in our world does, so I am going to give it a try.  Sandra says I can write anything in here.  She said it will be the beginning of my Book of Shadows, which she says is a witches most important tool.  So, I should start with the fact today I found out I was a witch!  Antonio is so nice, he took me to a magical community where I bought my school supplies!  I am going to actually be going to school full time!  Until I go to school on the 2nd, I am staying with his family!  Professor MacCathmhaoil and his wife Sandra are super nice.  My favorite part of today, besides spending time with Antonio, and having real bed to sleep in, was being chosen by Starlight!  She is my cat, well Antonio says I am her human.  She is what he called a familiar.  He said I will learn more about them in school.  But they are like a spirit that guides a witch or warlock. My 2nd favorite part was getting my wand!  Holly with Salamander's fire in it.  It is soooo black with a dark blood red tip.  I also got a yew staff that is as white as my wand is black with a blood red tip as well.  It also has like a panther's shaped top with a pentagram in its forehead.  Antonio told me it is for protection.  He says I will soon learn more about the symbololgy of our world.  It sounds like so much to learn!  Well I will have to write more another time, Sandra says it is time for bed.  That we have a busy day tomorrow!  How did I get so lucky to get this life as a belated birthday gift???
